DIGITAL NAME SECURITY SETTINGS

As we continue to enhance the features and functionality of our “Digital Names”, we have completed a big step forward with new security features.

Digital Name owners now have the ability to select a security profile which can be high, medium or low security or the ability to turn off a digital name completely. This activity is related to a single Digital Name. When a Digital Name is set to offline, it will lock all website and api requests.

There will be no public key assignments while the Digital Name is set as offline.3 overall security profile options. “HIGH” – “MODERATE” – “LOW”.

  • HIGH: Read access to the API is open, read & write access to the API is closed, Email notifications are sent for all activity.
  • MEDIUM: Read access to the API is open, read & write access to the API also open, Email notifications are sent for all activity.
  • LOW: Both Read and Read & write access to the API will be open. No Emails will be sent.

We have plans in the near future to add more individual granular settings for each API command and for each email notification.

The security profile settings are now active for each active Digital Name in your digital names control panel.
